Historic

Historic

Steeped in tradition, but with a sartorial edge that appealed to King George VI, President John F. Kennedy and multiple Oscar winning actors, the historic Wildsmith name is like no other. Since its founding over 170 years ago, Wildsmith has been closely linked to the fashionable gentlemen’s set around the world.

Famous

Mathew and Rebecca Wildsmith

Matthew and Rebecca Wildsmith started their shoe making and repairing business in 1847 in Piccadilly, London. They quickly gained work from the Household Cavalry and then the Royal Household. The brand became famous when Raymond Wildsmith created a unique pattern for King George VI that we now know as the loafer. The Wildsmith name is inextricably linked to the establishment of the loafer as a modern gentleman’s shoe.

Luxurious

in channel oak bark sole

At the peak of British hand-crafted footwear these styles recreate the spirit and essence of the iconic Wildsmith name. Luxurious detailing such as oak-bark soles, in-channel stitching and supple leathers are used in different combinations across different shoes to create understated yet stunning shoes.

Maverick

Maverick styling using the finest materials

The names that have worn Wildsmith are known around the world. Their vibrant personalities have inspired us to create a range of shoes infused with exquisite materials, striking combinations of colour and more than a dash of maverick styling. If you wear Wildsmith, you are not following the crowd.

Iconic

Iconic diamond punching

Wildsmith is not only famous for the iconic Windsor loafer, originally known as the Model 98. Diamond punching is also a key part of the Wildsmith archive that we have brought back to the fore. The subtle change of punch lifts an ordinary classic to a whole new level of exclusivity and desirability.

Indulgent

Shoebox

Every pair of Wildsmith is polished and checked before being placed in indulgent piped cotton bags and shipped in our custom yellow lined and foil embossed shoe boxes. The indulgence continues with complimentary shoe cream or suede brush and a real horn shoe horn included with every pair. As loafers are designed to fit closely to avoid your heel slipping out, protecting the heel stiffener by using a horn will maximise the life and comfort of your shoes. Beautiful hand-stained and waxed shoe trees are available separately.
