Wildsmith is a family business built on nearly 180 years of shoemaking heritage. When we re-launched in 2024, Wildsmith wanted to celebrate its history by partnering with some of the most iconic shoemakers in the UK.
Founded in 1829, Tricker’s is the oldest established shoemaker in Britain. Still owned by the founding family, every pair of Tricker’s boots and shoes are produced in Northampton and go through around 260 processes undertaken by skilled craftsmen and women.
Wildsmith has designed a special edition collection that blends Tricker’s original country footwear and our city heritage to celebrate British craftmanship.

Every pair is made from start to finish in their Northampton factory using Tricker’s iconic last shapes and Wildsmith’s trademark diamond brogue.

This collection comprises the infamous Bourton Brogue Shoe and Stow Boot.
Each shoe has been thoughtfully re-designed. The leathers are only the finest calf and polished leather hides, featuring Tricker’s heritage colours, Acorn and C-Shade, alongside Wildsmith’s brand colours of black and yellow to give each shoe a unique finish.
Complemented with Vibram Vi-Lite soles for comfort and durability, this collection has been made using the traditional Goodyear-welted construction method, which means these two styles can be repaired and refurbished for many years.
The addition of the subtle diamond brogue has brought these brands together. Wildsmith and Tricker’s are famous for producing different types of footwear. One producing ready-to-wear loafers, the other producing heritage country footwear.
However, they have many similarities, with just 18 years separating the launch of the two brands and 67 miles between their original factories, both have been favoured by the Royal Family for many generations. Wildsmith is famous for producing the first loafer, Model 98, as a house shoe for King George VI and Tricker’s have been a favourite of King Charles III for many years. They were among the first businesses to be granted the Royal Warrant in 2024.

While the distinctive look of Tricker's country shoes and boots is often imitated, their dedication to outstanding quality is unrivalled. Wildsmith is not looking to imitate...just celebrate.
